Medical Cambodia

Our Vision

The vision of Medical Cambodia is to develop a comprehensive medical website in Khmer, containing all the key medical information that any health care professional should know. The vision is to have illustrated content on every important disease and medical condition, outlining the causes, signs and symptoms, investigations and treatment for each, along with the relevant anatomy and physiology.

All content shall be in the Khmer language, making it understandable for Cambodian health care professionals who have limited English/French. In the past, these health care workers would have limited opportunities to further their medical knowledge.

The website is currently in its early stages, with a medication manual, and five body systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, nervous and digestive) and related pathology partly covered so far. As well as expanding on these topics, many more also need to be added, including:

-The Liver, Gallbladder and Hepatic System

-Endocrine System

-Reproductive System (including STDs)

-Orthopedics and Rheumatology

-ENT and Ophthalmology

-Infectious Diseases

-Midwifery and Obstetric Complications

-Palliative Care

-Critical Care

-Prehospital Care and First Aid

-Expand the medication manual to include more medications, and develop a pediatric version.

Medical Cambodia is searching for funding to enable the above objectives to be achieved faster.
